Hollyoaks fans go crazy as Grace Black AND James Nightingale revealed as the ones who shot Mercedes McQueen

HOLLYOAKS fans couldn’t contain their shock tonight as Grace Black AND James Nightingale was revealed as the person who shot Mercedes McQueen.

The show finally put an end to the big whodunit mystery this evening with the shooter’s identity revealed after Liam overheard the pair talking about it.

Viewers have spent the past few weeks speculating over who tried to kill Mercedes, after she was gunned down by the mystery culprit on the day of Harry Thompson’s funeral.

The previous main suspects were Breda McQueen, Liam Donovan, Diane Hutchinson and Joel Dexter.

Mercedes had previously accused Sylver of being the person responsible, lying to the police about how she remembered him pulling the trigger.

However, last night’s episode saw her change her story after being tricked by Sylver and Grace.

And now after lots of clues and red herrings this evening we found out both Grace and Jack were BOTH involved in the shooting.

In tonight’s episode, montages showed Liam, Grace, Sylver and James with the gun on the night that Mercedes was shot.

However a full flashback scene finally let viewers in on the secret of who pulled the trigger.

Fans couldn’t contain their shock at Grace and Jack being behind shooting, one said: “Grace and James, who would’ve thought.”
