HOLLYOAKS fans are terrified Kyle Kelly has died after he relapsed on drugs.

The waiter – who is played by actor Adam Rickitt in the E4 soap – opened up last night about his secret battle with depression in an effort to help Darren Osborne.

But tonight it was clear recovering Kyle was struggling himself and when he was spotted crying in the village he was spotted by drug dealer Jordan.

Evil Jordan convinced Kyle to buy drugs from him and he did.

Viewers then saw Kyle collapsed behind a van as Darren spotted him and rushed over trying to shake him conscious.

Fans were terrified Kyle had overdosed after realising the extent of his mental health issues.

One wrote: “Oh Kyle! No!”

A second said: “I hope Kyle doesn’t do what I’m thinking.”

Another added: “I’m pleased Darren found Kyle.”

Last night Kyle told Darren: “At rehab I had a roommate who suffered from depression. He said it was like a grey fog descending on him.”

He went on: “Gradually at first. He couldn’t enjoy himself, felt worthless, dark thoughts.

“He’d isolate himself from his friends and family because they were like these grey figures in the mist and he knew he should have been able to connect with them but he couldn’t tell anyone about it because he didn’t understand it himself.

“He kept it all inside until all he could see was the fog. All he had was the dark thoughts and a life that used to be so full of colour was suddenly nothing more than a black and white movie on in the background.”

He told him about how his friend would pinch the skin on the back of his hand in a coping mechanism.

Kyle opening up encouraged Darren to open up but as he did he let slip that he and Nancy had slept together in the crane disaster – leaving Kyle devastated.

At the end of the episode Kyle was seen devastated by the revelation and sat outside pinching the back of his hand in tears.
