JAMIE Lomas has revealed he almost joined the cast of Emmerdale in order to work alongside his sister Charley Webb.

Jamie, 44, is best known for playing the role of Warren Fox in Hollyoaks but it seems he almost jumped ship to another rival soap.

In an interview with HOAR’s TV Mag, Jamie admitted he would jump at the chance to work with his younger sibling, who plays Debbie Dingle in Emmerdale.

“Yeah, I would love to work with Charley. She’s such a great actress. There was nearly a point in Emmerdale where something nearly happened, but it never ended up coming off,” Jamie admitted.

“But it is something that I would definitely like to do in the future. I obviously had Sammy Winwood, who is a good friend
of ours, in my film as well.

“Producing is definitely something that I want to do so if I get something in the future I’ll definitely work with Charley.”

Jamie has been in Hollyoaks on and off since 2006 playing bad boy Warren, and returned to the Channel 4 soap once again in January.

Speaking about his return, he said: “It always feels like coming home when I come back to Hollyoaks. The best way that I can describe it is like putting a pair of comfy slippers on.

“I just relish coming back and just seeing everybody here, it’s such a family unit. That’s such a cliche saying that it’s like a family, but it really is here and I just love the people.

“I always love to come back and put Warren’s mask back on.”

Commenting on playing the villain, he added: “I had a great chat with Brian, our boss, and we were just talking about Warren coming back this time and they said that they want to give him some mates in the village this time round and make him a little bit different which is great.

“It’s been fun to play, but I don’t think it will be long before he’s back causing trouble again.”

Jamie has also enjoyed roles in Coronation Street and EastEnders in the past, so perhaps it’s just a matter of time before he gives Emmerdale a go.
