HOLLYOAKS’ real life couple Sophie Porley and Adam Woodward have split after two years together.
The pair – who are best known for playing Ellie Nightingale and Brody Hudson on the E4 show – secretly broke up earlier this year.
Sophie shared the news with her fans while taking part in an Instagram Q&A recently when she was asked if she was still with Adam.
And she said the pair had called it quits earlier this year – hinting their troubles began in lockdown.
“We broke up earlier this year,” she replied on her Instagram stories.
“Like lots of couples this year.”
Things were going well for the stars before lockdown as Sophie – who quit the soap in 2018 – revealed last year that they had moved in together.
She said in October 2019: “Moved into my new flat this weekend. We have no sofa, no bed, pretty much nothing else expect a few wooden chopping boards, vases, dried lavender sprigs and some plants.”
Since then, the actors had worked wonders on the flat – turning it into a perfectly on-trend pad.
Adam joined the cast of Hollyoaks for the Ibiza special episodes back in 2017.
Sophie made her soap debut in 2015 and quickly became a firm favourite with fans before quitting in 2018.
She denied that she is now on the lookout for a new boyfriend, adding on Instagram: “I’m very happy to be single right now.”
