THE long-expected love affair between Hollyoaks’ Juliet Quinn and Peri Lomax began tonight – and fans loved it.
Niamh Blackshaw’s character was seen stroking her pal’s hair just moments after interrupting her steamy sex session.
She blundered into a steamy afternoon on the sofa between Peri and drug dealer Jordan – with Sid reaching out to cover both their eyes.
But when Peri asked Juliet to help her do up her bra, she started playing with her hair and gazed lovingly at her.
Many viewers already knew what was coming because their romance was teased in the flash-forward episode that revealed what happens on New Year’s Eve 2020.
But most were delighted, with one writing: “Okay I ship Jerri, Juliet and perrie have only just begun.”
Another wrote: “Juliet playing with Peri’s hair” alongside a sparkling heart emoji.
A third gushed: “Thank you Hollyoaks for blessing us with that Juliet and Peri scene. You are the best.”
Unusually for a soap, we already know there is happy-ish ending for the pair, with the pair seen kissing on New Year’s Eve.
In the preview at the start of the year, Juliet – who is covered in scratches – declares her love for Peri before the girls embrace and kiss.
