HOLLYOAKS has finally revealed Toby’s identity as the Devereax family’s long lost son – and he’s out for revenge.
The twist was foreshadowed back in September, when it was revealed Mitchell has a secret twin brother.
In tonight’s first look episode on E4, the community gathered at the church as Devereax patriarch Walter gave a Christmas sermon.
The whole Devereax family gathered to listen to him speak about family – unaware that their life was about to be turned upside down.
As Walter preached about family, a furious Toby said: “They preach hypocrisy. About Martine’s love for her precious son. When they cast this son out. Their own flesh and blood.”
This confirms that he’s the secret twin Martine gave away.
Toby went to go confront his family, but stopped at the last minute.
Later on, their plans for revenge become clear as Celeste hands Toby a photo of Mitchell kissing Scott – who broke up with him last night.
As the family doesn’t know about the same-sex relationship, this will cause trouble down the line.
The revelation provoked a mixed response from fans, with some people shocked and others having guessed ages ago.
One fan said: “I knew one of the new arrivals on #Hollyoaks was going to be Mitchells twin”.
Another said: “How did I not guess that he was Mitchell’s brother!!!”
A third added: “OH MY GOD!!!! Wasn’t expecting him to be Martines missing child”
This is more heartbreak for Mitchell after he was dumped by his boyfriend Scott the night before.
Meanwhile, Sienna accidentally discovered boyfriend Brody and sister Liberty revealing their secret – that they slept together after the IVF failed.
A devastated Sienna was comforted by Martine, who encouraged her to fight for having the child and discloses that she gave up one of her kids and it devastated her.
