Jesse – played by Luke Jerdy on the Channel 4 soap – goes missing the morning after the ceremony after hearing James and Grace confess to trying to kill Mercedes.
What happens on Courtney and Jesses wedding day?
Courtney and Jesse have been preparing for their big day for months on Hollyoaks now, and the pair are on cloud nine as the day arrives.
Liam gives Jesse his late brother Adams cufflinks and the siblings bond and promise never to keep any secrets in the family.
However, on the day of the wedding James struggles with a guilty conscience in the wake of Mercedes shooting – which was carried out by him and an evil Grace Black.
On the day of the wedding, Grace manages to prevent James from confessing his crime and gets her partner-in-crime to make a pact to never speak about the shooting again.

But little do the pair know that Jesse overhears everything.
Later, with the ceremony in full swing, Jesse delivers his vows and promises to always protect Courtney and their child and surround them by love.
The next morning, Courtney is startled by the alarm waking her and Jesse up for her honeymoon.
But shes horrified to realise that Jesse never even came to bed on the night of their wedding.
What is Jesse up to, and will he make it back in time for his honeymoon?

Why did James and Grace shoot Mercedes?
Viewers have spent the last few weeks trying to work out who attempted to kill Mercedes, after she was shot down by a mystery person on the day of Harry Thompsons funeral.
Fans couldnt contain their shock when Hollyoaks revealed that James and Grace were both responsible for Mercedes mysterious shooting by both pulling the trigger together.
The unlikely duo both wanted revenge after discovering that Mercedes had framed Harry as the driver during Graces hit-and-run after a tape of her confession was played out at Harrys funeral.
This led the pair to think that Mercedes was responsible for Harrys murder and theyve been on the warpath ever since the funeral.
However, fans know that James has been struggling with his guilty conscience after Liam revealed that Breda was the one who killed Harry – and that James therefore shot Mercedes for no reason.
