Chelsee – who has played Goldie McQueen in the Channel 4 soap since 2016 – laughed and joked with pals at a “Quarantine Rave” in Gtr Manchester.

The actress, who was runner-up in the 2011 BBC dancing show, smiled and laughed as she danced and drank, according to fellow revellers.

One told HOAR: “I was really shocked to see Chelsee at the rave but she didn’t look like she had a care in the world.

“She was having a laugh with her friends but you’d think she’d be a bit more careful bearing in mind she’s on one of Britain’s most popular TV shows and is a household name thanks to Strictly Come Dancing.”

In May Chelsee was accused of breaching lockdown to travel 200 miles to visit Lauren Goodger’s jailbird ex Jake McLean, who she recently started dating.

Meanwhile her former co-star Malique Thompson-Dwyer, who played Goldie’s son Prince McQueen in the show and was a contestant on the 2018 I’m A Celebrity… was blasted by fans for boasting online about going to the rave.

The 22-year-old posted footage on his Instagram walking through Daisy Nook country park in Failsworth, Gtr Manchester, saying: “There’s a rave going on innit, can you hear the music?”

Malique initially told fans who criticised him to “mind your business”, but later apologised and said some family members had died from coronavirus.

The rave – and another one in Carrington, Gtr Manchester, left one man dead from a drugs overdose and cops investigating the alleged rape of a girl aged 18 and three serious stabbings.

Shocking phone videos posted online showed youths including a teenage girl slashing at each other with machetes while another man was pictured walking down the street with his arm cut down to the bone.

The Government banned mass gatherings at the start of the coronavirus outbreak in a bid to slow the spread of the disease.

Assistant Chief Constable Chris Sykes, of Gtr Manchester Police, said: “These raves were illegal and I condemn them taking place – they were clearly a breach of coronavirus legislation and guidelines, and have had tragic consequences.

“The gatherings were carefully monitored by officers but, like all forces, we needed to balance the present public health emergency and our overall demand with ongoing incidents, which can often provide a set of unique challenges when it comes to wider public safety.”

Hollyoaks bosses who will be furious that the programme has been brought into disrepute just days after it was rocked by a racism scandal.

Last week actress Rachel Adebeji, who played Lisa Loveday, spoke out about the racism she had experienced on set. Bosses have launched an investigation into her claims.

Chelsee said last night: “On Saturday night I made a silly mistake. I now realise it was irresponsible and I am truly sorry.”
