I’M A Celebrity’s stars were gutted when Cliff Parisi rolled into camp last night – because they wanted chocolate instead.
The 59-year-old EastEnders star was ‘won’ as the prize in last night’s Dingo Dollar Challenge instead of the usual Wagon Wheels or chocolate biscuits.
James Haskell and Caitlyn Jenner were presented with the choice of freeing Andrew Whyment or Cliff from the jungle jail.
The former rugby pro, 34, insisted: “I tell you what, Id rather a bag of crisps or chocolate bar if Im completely honest with you.”
He added: “It’s another mouth to feed, but at least we’ve got fresh stories.”
And the faces of the campmates dropped when they returned without any food – particularly a starving Ian Wright.
Nadine Coyle, 34, later admitted: “I do feel sorry for Cliff as there was high hopes for a phone call and chocolate.
“Then Cliff came which was great, it’s lovely to meet Cliff. But I think there was: ‘Oh, theyre back and theyve not got any chocolate.’”
Viewers hearts went out to Cliff, who played Minty in EastEnders for nine years, posting: “I felt really bad for cliff tbh.
“It should have been a good welcome to camp for him but instead they complained about not getting any food at all.”
Another said: “They might not have even have the choice of chocolate and they were so off with him .”
Even Ant McPartlin poked fun at the situation, saying: “What percentage of camp would prefer chocolate to Cliff Parisi? A. 100 per cent?”
Dec Donnelly chipped in: “Or B. 100 per cent?”
Cliff, who got gifted main camp’s food the previous night, admitted: Its a bit scary coming in after eating all their dinner.
