CORONATION Street’s Jack P Shepherd donned a wig as he threw a wild 80s themed party to celebrate his 32nd birthday.

Jack hired a smoke machine and glitterball balloons as he hosted a cheesy disco on a Tuesday night with his Cobbles co-stars.

The actor, who plays David Platt in the ITV soap, went all out for the occasion after recently telling fans he’d had a stressful few years off screen.

Jack gathered his nearest and dearest including Corrie favourites Lucy Fallon, Colson J Smith, and his on-screen brother Ben Price, and on-screen fiancee Julia Goulding.

Everyone made a huge effort in fancy dress, but his stunning girlfriend Hanni Treweek lead the glam squad in a metallic green dress.

At one point, Jack grabbed his missus and twirled her around for a kiss, with her crimped her hair falling down her back.

David told fans after as he shared photos of the night on Instagram: “What a time to be alive.”

And it looks like Jack indeed had an incredible time with all of his loved ones around him.

Stunning Hanni played the perfect host and delivered a huge cake alight with candles, as the group chanted “speech speech speech”.

Ever the joker, he kept it short and sweet, and whipping off his wig, the actor said: “I’d like you all to know I’m actually a woman.”

Jack has played David Platt in Corrie since he was 12.

Last year, he got a rap on the knuckles from the ITV soap after he accepted a free hair transplant and promoted the surgery on Instagram – which is against the rules.

In the post, Jack revealed he is an insomniac and has had a stressful few years.

Jack said: “A few of the make-up girls at Corrie suggested that I should have it done and I have talked it through with a few people at work.

“My hair loss has definitely accelerated in the last year.

“I have had a few personal issues off-screen which have been stressful and I am also an insomniac which just adds to my stress levels.”
