A BLUNDER from ITV this evening sent Emmerdale fans into a panic, with the channel’s voiceover artist announcing the wrong show.
Just before 7pm this evening, the channel ran through what viewers can expect on their screens for the next couple of hours.
As soap fans settled down in preparation for their usual instalment of the ‘Dales, the announcer sparked confusion as they said that rival soap Coronation Street was up next.
He said: “Set a reminder tonight as true crime drama White House Farm begins at 9.
“Now though, it’s Coronation Street.”
Baffled viewers took to social media to point out the gaffe, with one tweeting: “Am I going mad or did he just announce #Corrie next..”

Another added: “He had one job.”
A third said: “Voiceover guy needs the sack, it’s Emmerdale not Corrie.”
Thankfully, Emmerdale went ahead as scheduled, with Coronation Street airing two episodes later in the evening – as per the TV guide.
