It would make Jacqueline the third soap actress to star as the lead in the BBC1 drama, after Michelle took over from another Enders favourite, Lacey Turner.

A TV source said: Jacqueline is keen to replace Michelle on Our Girl and has been encouraged to go for it by her former colleague and pal Lacey.

And bosses at the Beeb want a mainstream signing and feel the Queen Of The Jungle fits the bill perfectly.

The series hasnt yet been greenlit, nor any contracts signed, but shes in a good position to bag it if it all goes ahead.

Jacqueline won Im A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here! last month following a torrid time in Australia which saw her threaten to quit after hubby Dan Osborne faced cheating allegations.

Former Celeb Big Brother star Chloe Ayling claimed she had a threesome with Dan and US reality star Natalie Nunn.

A source close to Jacqueline added: A lot of projects, both screen and stage, have been keen to discuss Jacqueline.

Michelles fourth and final outing as British Army medic Georgie has been filmed and will air later this year.

She said: Ive had the most incredible four years on the show and I want to thank the BBC for giving me such an amazing opportunity.

David’s Holden Court

DAVID Walliams looks pretty glamorous in a sparkling frock and necklace as he dresses up as fellow Britains Got Talent judge Amanda Holden in an opening skit for the National Television Awards.

In our exclusive first look at the pre-recorded sketch, the comic who is hosting the NTAs makes a convincing trainspotter as he pretends to audition in front of the BGT panel.

When asked by them what his dream was, he said: I have this recurring dream where Im in a sauna with a very small towel on me and Simon Cowell walks in all oiled up.

Tonights special guest at The O2 bash in London is Friends legend David Schwimmer, who will present the New Drama gong. The actor, who played Ross in the sitcom, stars in Sky 1 comedy Intelligence next month.

Rob will reinvent wheel

IF theres two things the BBC is mad for right now, its a gameshow and Rob Beckett so it is sticking the two together.

Im told the funnyman is hosting a new game show that has a Wheel Of Fortune feel about it. The series, called Revolver, will see contestants play for a 100,000 cash prize as Rob, inset, spins a revolving wheel in the hope of landing on big money spots.

Like on the Wheel Of Fortune, contestants will have to answer general knowledge questions before spinning to win.

But in a clever twist, if their cash total goes over or under the target even by a pound they lose the lot.

Revolver is being made by 12 Yard Productions, the team behind BBCs Eggheads and Nick Knowles Who Dares Wins. A source said: This new game show, Revolver, with Rob at the helm is primed to be a nail-biting tea-time classic.

Like the Wheel Of Fortune, every spin leads to more cash in the pot, but even those all set to win a fortune after answering questions correctly could lose.

Caprice DOI ‘pass’ upset

SHE may have a new partner on Dancing On Ice, but Caprice Bourret is still ruffling feathers backstage.

The model, who re-partnered with skater Oscar Peter after falling out with original pro Hamish Gaman, has angered other contestants who believe she got a free pass after sitting out a week amid the rows.

Dancing on Ice contestants think its unfair that Caprice Bourett was able to stay in for an extra week

A telly source said: Other celebs on the series think its unfair that Caprice was able to stay in for an extra week and essentially given a free pass.

They have all had to make do with their dance partners, putting in hours of work, and think its a bit of a joke that she was a diva about it.

Meanwhile, Caprice found herself in the bottom two with Radzi Chinyanganya, but managed to stay in the show for one more week, at least.

The insider added: Caprice was gutted to be in the bottom two and was stroppy afterwards. She is certainly acting like a princess and everyone is noticing.

Split ace ordeal

TOP writer Abi Morgan has revealed she was battling cancer as she penned the second series of BBC1 divorce drama The Split.

Bafta nominee Abi, whose other work includes thriller The Hour and film The Iron Lady, thanked the team behind the show for their support.

Ahead of The Splits airing next month, she said: Its been a challenging 18 months; what was lovely was it felt so reassuring, so amazing, to have that ensemble. My vision was a little bit patchwork.

An incredible achievement.
