KATIE Prices hairdresser has been convicted of attacking his former EastEnders star ex-girlfriend.
Claudio Carnovale, 56, assaulted Caroline Paterson, 54, during a violent clash at their west London in August.
Carnovale has banned from contacting Caroline, who played Ruth Fowler in the BBC soap between 1994 and 1999, and visiting the home they shared.
The hairdresser to stars including Kyle Minogue, was also convicted of obstructing a police officer, the Daily Record reports.
He was slapped with an 18-month community order and told to complete 100 hours of unpaid work as part of his sentence at Hendon Magistrates Court.
A victim personal statement by Caroline was read out to the court when ex-partner Carnovale appeared.
The couple met in Rome in the 90s have an adult son and daughter together.
Carnovale was first hauled in front of magistrates last month and pled guilty to obstructing the police.
However, he was convicted of assault after a trial.
His sentence is being deferred for background reports.
A Crown Prosecution Service spokesman said: Carnovale was sentenced to an 18-month community order with an unpaid work requirement of 100 hours.
He was also banned from contacting the victim apart from via solicitors and from going to the home address.
