My boyfriend tells me I look like his celebrity crush – he should love me for me

MY boyfriend thinks it’s a compliment to tell me I remind him of Maria Connor from Coronation Street, but it upsets me.

I’m 20 and he’s 21. He told me he thought we had the same morals in life.

When he went on to say she is really fit and sexy I got really cross.

I didn’t mind that, although I’d rather not be compared to a soap character.

When he looks at me and tells me he loves me, he should only have eyes for me and not be thinking of some silly celebrity crush.

He has made me feel he is making do with me.

Of course we all admire other people’s looks – it doesn’t mean we want to be unfaithful with them.

He is with you in real life.
