EASTENDERS’ Peter Beale is set to return as TV newcomer Dayle Hudson becomes the seventh actor to take on the role after Ben Hardy departed from the Square to pursue Hollywood.

Peter Beale will make his return to Walford following a four year absence.
The role will be reprised by rising star Dayle Hudson, who is set to take the reins on the part following actor Ben Hardy’s exit in 2015.
The actor who last played the role quit to go to Hollywood and has since starred in a series of blockbuster movies including Bohemian Rhapsody and X-Men: Apocalypse.
Actor Dayle joins the long list of former Peters, including his most recent predecessor Ben.
Ben took over from Thomas Law, who played Peter between 2006 and 2010.
Before that, Peter was played by James Martin between 2004 and 2006.
Prior to James taking on the part, actor Joseph Shade held the role of Peter from 1998 to 2004, with Alex Stevens playing him as a young boy for a year from 1997.

Is Lauren Branning returning to EastEnders?
Fans were stunned in July when Kathy Beale revealed that Ian was in New Zealand because Peter and Lauren were having relationship troubles.
When Lauren left the soap in 2018, she was heading to New Zealand to give her relationship with Peter another go.
