Shona was taken to a specialist unit in Leeds getting caught in the crossfire of the Christmas shooting. But what is Shona’s comeback storyline and when is she returning?

Her exit then came as she was moved to a specialist unit in Leeds to start on the long road to recovery.

Why did Shona leave Coronation Street?
Actress Julia Goulding temporarily left the soap in January to go on maternity leave after giving birth to a baby boy – Franklin Wolf Silver – in November.
The star announced back in May 2019 that she was expecting a baby with husband Ben Silver after tying the knot in February.
She told fans: “Ben and I are delighted to announce that we are expecting our first baby at the end of this year!
“We are absolutely overjoyed and can’t wait to meet our little one!”
What has Coronation Street said about Shona Ramsey’s return?
The soap’s Twitter account shared a clip of Julia back on set at the end of last month.
The tweet read: “Guess who was back filming with us this week? We’ve missed you @juliagoulding.”
Julia could be seen in a big red parka as she jumped into the shot to deliver the good news to Corrie’s fans: “Hi everyone, you may be wondering why I’m wearing my Coronation Street warm coat… it’s ’cause Shona’s back!”
Fans flocked to Twitter to express their delight at Julia’s return.
