CORONATION Street star Catherine Tyldesley was involved in a dramatic hospital dash this week while on a break following her Strictly Come Dancing elimination.
Catherine’s husband Tom Pitfield took to Instgaram on Tuesday to thank the actress for her support after their family suffered a “27-hour delay” to their holiday.
Tom shared this image alongside a caption revealing their hospital dash while on hospital
Tom said, speaking of their son Alf: “Its been quite the week.
“A 27 hour delay to start the holiday followed by the hospital for me and numerous visits to the Dr for Alf.”
“Thank you so much @auntiecath17 for looking after us, always scary in a foreign country,” he added.
“Couple of days left to reclaim a holiday. Its amazing what sand in between your toes and sun on your face can do for recovery.”

Catherine has yet to share any details on her social media accounts but has shared pictures of their date night.
The 36-year-old actress married fitness consultant Tom at Colshaw Hall in Cheshire, in front of family, friends and Corrie co-stars in June 2015.
She wore a bespoke Philip Armstrong wedding gown, an off-the-shoulder lace creation with a mermaid silhouette and sheer panelling on the back and sleeves.
They welcomed their son Alfie later in the year, and during her stint on Strictly she admitted how much she missed her son while training in London.

The family were scheduled to enjoy their holiday together after her time on the hit BBC One show ended, after she was voted out over Mike Bushell.
In late October there was public outcry after Catherine and her pro partner Johannes Radebe were eliminated after a dance-off against Mike and Katya Jones.
Following the news Will Bayley would no longer be on the show, fans took to Twitter to discuss a potential return of the former soap star.
