STRICTLY star Emma Barton’s legs “are getting longer and longer” on the show, according to her EastEnders co-star Nitin Ganatra.

Nitin, who plays Masood Ahmed on the BBC soap, has been keeping up with his colleague’s Strictly journey and been impressed by her skills on the dancefloor.

He reckons Emma has improved every week and is “getting taller” as she works on her posture and limbs.

Nitin appeared on ITV’s Lorraine today to discuss his role in God’s Dice at the Soho Theatre when he was asked if he’s watching Strictly.

He said: “She’s doing well. She’s great. She can move! The girl can move. But every now and then I message her and say, ‘you’re doing brilliantly’.

“But what I didn’t know, her legs are getting longer and longer throughout the whole show. She’s doing more and more high kicks and she’s getting taller as we go along.”

The actor said he wouldn’t fare as well on the show because he categorically “can’t dance”.

Nitin said: “I can’t dance. It would be truthful, I wouldn’t be blagging, like I did a few lessons here and there. No, I can’t dance.”

Nitin left EastEnders for the second time in February this year, but it appears that he is already having second thoughts about his decision.

He told Lorraine Kelly’s stand-in Christine Lampard today: “Masood is lovely, I love him and I think there is still much to find in him, and I have a lot of respect for EastEnders and the way they produce stories. So who knows, one day I’ll go back if they’ll have me.”

Nitin Ganatra is keen to reprise his role of Masood – just two months after he quit EastEnders for the second time

The actor said the same back in April, saying: “I love playing Masood and the door was left open. I miss playing that character, so I’m waiting for the next producer to come along and seduce me back.”

The star went on to claim that the show “isn’t finished” with his character as he confessed that Masood didn’t really have any “big storylines”.

He added: “He is yet to find his wings. I want him to have big storylines, we never really did that. I want Masood to own the Vic!”

Nitin first appeared in the BBC One soap in 2007

After joining the soap in 2007, Nitin left for the first time in November 2016.

Just one year later, it was announced that Masood would be returning to Walford and the star’s comeback hit our screens in November 2017.

However, in January of this year it was confirmed Nitin had chosen to leave the show once again, with his second departure airing a month later.
