WHEN Joe Swash proposed to Stacey Solomon surrounded by flowers last month, it looked like something straight out of a fairytale.
The Eastenders star got down on one knee on Christmas Eve in the woods near their house in Essex – which Stacey says is one of her “favourite places in the world”.
And based on what Stacey’s said about the wedding planning so far, it’s looking like their big day will be equally as swoon-worthy.
Earlier this month, the mum-of-three, 31, revealed she has her heart set on marrying in 2021 as their “loved ones won’t be around forever”.
Here Fabulous takes a look at how Stacey and Joe’s big day is already shaping up – from their dream venue to THE dress.
Dream Venue
It’s been less than a month since Stacey got engaged – and the star has wasted no time searching for venues.
Last week, Stacey answered questions from some of her 4m followers on Instagram about the wedding and revealed they’ve already found the place they want to tie the knot.
Answering a question about whether she’d ever get married abroad, Stacey shared a photo of a converted church with a glass ceiling – but didn’t confirm if this was her venue.
She said: “I used to think I wanted to run away and elope, but after losing family members this year, I could not feel more opposite…
“One of the main reasons we’d love to get married as soon as we can is because there’s special people in our lives that will not be around forever.
“And I would do anything to share our day with them. Especially knowing already how much we will miss those that can’t be there.
“I’ve found my dream venue, we are just trying to see if the dates work and if it’s possible and I can’t wait to take you there with us when/if we are allowed.”
Disney Princess Day
Even though the proposal came as a huge surprise to Stacey, the star said her and Joe would often talk about marriage.
In April 2018, Stacey told her Loose Women co-stars that she wanted a “Disney fairytale-style” wedding.
She joked: “I’m hoping for birds to get me dressed!”
Insisting that she’d be open to compromise on the plans, Stacey said Joe would mostly let her organise her dream day.
She said: “We spoke about it and he doesn’t want to get involved at all, so I will get to run the ship.
“If he turned around and had valid reasons why he didn’t want a big wedding, then I would have to consider it.”
So far, it seems like Stacey has already got a fairytale-worthy engagement ring – after Joe incorporated opals (which are Stacey’s birth stone) from Australia into the design to represent where they first met.
Stunning lace dress
Like most brides, we expect Stacey will keep her wedding dress a secret until the big day.
But back in August 2017, she tried on a couple of wedding dresses at the Suzanne Neville boutique in London when she was shopping for a red carpet event.
When she had her pick of gowns, Stacey opted for a traditional V-neck lace dress with a fitted bodice and A-Line skirt.
Unable to hide her joy, the mum paired the stunning gown with a simple sheer veil and joked she couldn’t stop thinking about weddings “all day, everyday”.
DIY guest book
She may have shot to fame on The X Factor – but these days, Stacey is well-known for her crafty tips.
So it’ll come as no surprise that she’s planning on making a few bits and bobs for the wedding.
Over the weekend, Stacey revealed how she’s started turning an old globe into a guest book.
Writing “forever begins today” on the outside, Stacey captioned her post: “I’ve stolen the boys’ globe. They don’t need it right now. As soon as we’re allowed to venture out of the house I’ll buy them another one!”
