CHANTELLE Atkins brutally ended her friendship with Whitney Dean last night in EastEnders (June 15) after Gray told her that Whitney had tried to kiss him.

Viewers were fuming when Gray turned Whitney and Chantelle against each other to further isolate them both during last night’s episode of the soap.

But fans think the friends might share a heart-to-heart where Chantelle confesses the abuse she’s suffered – and team up to take down Gray. 

One fan tweeted: “Even though there friendship is over I believe Whitney be one save chantelle from evil Gray.”

Another added: “I reckon Whitney will get involved with him but then the storyline will be to uncover the truth about Gray where she may team up with Chantelle or something.”

EastEnders viewers know that Gray couldn’t stand Chantelle borrowing his car to pick up commuters for Kheerat – and installed a tracking device to follow her every move.

But Gray was baffled when the log told him that his car was taken to Stratford – and assumed that Chantelle must be having an affair.

The journey was actually taken by Ben who had used the car to rush to Phil’s rescue when the robbery didn’t go to plan, but Gray assumes that Chantelle must be driving to Stratford to cheat on him. 

EastEnders viewers have been hoping for an affair between Chantelle and her friend and colleague Kheerat Panesar for months.

Fans noticed sparks flying between the pair after Gray rescued her from Michaela’s clutches after she kidnapped Whitney. 

Whitney then tried to kiss Gray after he managed to get her to piece together her flashbacks and give an account of the evening Leo died.
