TODAY’S Wordle solution is going to have you raging if you’re in the UK.

If you haven’t taken a bash at today’s puzzle, beware of minor spoilers below, but you’ll be venting about it soon enough.

Today’s Wordle answer could very well ruin your streak

In case you’ve missed out on the viral game that’s swept through Twitter, it’s a daily puzzle played in your browser that has the same answer for all players.

You just have to guess what the five-letter word of the day is within six turns, and then wait until the next day for a new puzzle.

But today’s answer is riling up Brits all over Twitter, because it uses American English instead and has abandoned the letter ‘U’.

“A stewards enquiry over todays word indeed,” joked Twitter user Andy Washington.

“The ‘.co.uk’ in the Wordle URL was deceitful. And it should be called ‘Wordel’ from now on, for consistency,” said another.

“Didn’t realise Wordle used the American dictionary. F*cked me over big time today,” lamented @GazMacca7, who sounds like he had his streak broken.

“Wordle used an American spelt [word] for todays word. Unfair tbh. Never would’ve got it,” tweeted Katherine Marsh.

The uproar has helped other Wordlers out, which is s good a name as any for the playerbase.

“I had luckily seen the outrage over todays word being American spelling beforehand which was a huge clue,” said Twitter user @luwushum.
