Zombies is getting a huge update this month

The new mode is built into the existing Zombies feature of Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War.

Gamers will visit the new Mauer der Toten map – that’s Wall of the Dead in German.

You’ll be playing in East Berlin, fending off the legions of undead who are trying to take over the world.

It’s part of the ongoing Dark Aether storyline, which has been a consistent staple of the Call of Duty Zombies universe.

There’s a new East Berlin map for you to explore

“The Zombies team has been hard at work delivering a steady stream of new content since ‘Firebase Z’,” said Treyarch.

“With the launch of Outbreak and the addition of Skill Tiers IV and V, Frenzied Guard, Toxic Growth, three new Outbreak regions, two new Main Quests, new Challenges and Intel, new maps and modes in Dead Ops Arcade 3 and Onslaught and more.

“But we know the community’s ready for our next round-based map.

“Good news: this one’s worth the wait.”

The update also makes some changes to Zombies more generally.

Enemy health caps have been reduced across the board.

And the health of armour has also been reduced for Medium and Heavy zombies by 30%.

This update looks creepier than ever

Sniper rifles have been buffed, with damage multipliers, stock ammo and max damage all getting a boost.

The Pack-a-Punch melee weapon has been buffed, and lethal equipment has also received a damage increase in many situations.

The Mauer der Toten update is available for free on July 15.

It goes live at 9pm PT on July 14, or midnight in New York and 5am in the UK on July 15.
