FIFA 22 servers are down for maintenance – here’s when you can dive back in

NO, it’s not just you. FIFA 22 is down. But don’t panic! It’s just regularly scheduled maintenance.

EA periodically takes FIFA servers down for maintenance, meaning no online FIFA 22 or FIFA 22 Ultimate Team during that window.

FIFA 22 servers are down for regularly scheduled maintenance

Unlike games like Fortnite, which see the game go down for a hours at a time, FIFA 22 server maintenance is just for a couple of hours.

The FIFA 22 support account announced servers would be down from 6am UTC / 7am BST to 8.30am UTC / 9.30am BST.

FUT & VOLTA FOOTBALL match creation were disabled 30 minutes beforehand to avoid people getting kicked out of matches when maintenance began.

It’s not uncommon for maintenance to run long, so if you can’t get in at 9.30am on the dot, just be patient.

Both EA and FIFA 22 have been flagged on DownDetector and the comments are devoid of irked players.

Scheduling maintenance this early means no grumpy gamers furious at not being able to play FUT.

Obviously if you’re in the US and are enjoying a late night gaming session, this isn’t ideal.

The Twitter thread hasn’t managed to escape complaints from US players, or one poor guy who has a newborn puppy and baby to deal with, and usually gets his fix at 6am.

In other FIFA 22 news, players who took advantage of a glitch last week faced seven day bans.

Their temporary bans should be over this week, so lesson learned hopefilly!
