SPIDER-MAN’S nemesis, the Green Goblin, is about to drop into Fortnite and here’s a sneak peek at him.

Fortnite leaker @iFireMonkey has posted screenshots of the upcoming Green Goblin skin, Pickaxe, and Back Bling, that have been dug up with the help of @GMatrixGames.

Following Fortnite update v19.10, dataminers have made short work of poring through the game’s files.

And the Green Goblin was found lurking inside, confirming las week’s rumours that he’d be coming to the game soon.

The skin is a fairly accurate representation of the Amazing Spider-Man comic’s iteration of the character.

He does have the metallic sheen from 2002’s Spider-Man, but fans are disappointed that the skin doesn’t look more like the movie version.

“We don’t want it,” said one Twitter user, adding, “we should’ve gotten willem.”

“Ew, we should have gotten movie suit. This just looks ridiculous,” tweeted another.

“Eh, its cool but, its not the Goblin everyone KNOWS. I wish they would use MCU versions instead of comic versions,” lamented a Spidey fan.

Not everyone is disappointed to see the comic book version of the Green Goblin though.

“The main Spider-Man we have in the game is the comic book version so it wouldn’t make sense to have any other version other than the comic version of GG,” pointedd out someone else in the replies.

The Spider-Man skins in Fortnite are currently the comic book version, and a Tom Holland movie skin.

So a Green Goblin pulled from the pages of the comics makes sense in the grander scheme of things.

Cosmetics and other content for Fortnite’s Green Goblin include:

  • Pumpkin Bomb Back Bling
  • Goblin Glider
  • Pumpkin Pickaxe
  • Attack of the Goblin loading screen
  • Arm the Pumpkin emote

There’s no word on when the Green Goblin will land in the Fortnite Item Shop.

The skin hasn’t been officially confirmed by Epic yet either, but hopefully we’ll see it make an appearance soon.
