Fortnite Season 8 could add EPIC new way for players to travel around the island

FORTNITE Season 8 has brought havoc to the island in the wake of the Mothership’s crash.

But there’s more to come in the form of a brand new feature that will let players ride the local wildlife.

While not official by any means, Epic has reportedly added riding options to the menu in the PC version of Fortnite.

Both ‘riding ability’ and ‘dismount’ hotkeys can now be found under keyboard controls.

Fortnite leaker Hypex shared the discovery on Twitter, adding in a screenshot from June when the potential feature first surfaced.

“Looks like we will get a rideable wildlife animal this or next season(s),” they said in the summer.

“A new class was added this update related to riding animals and its (sic) still in very early development!”

Wildlife was introduced in Chapter 2 Season 6, which is when the raptors made their first appearance.

The dinos disappeared in Season 7 but have since returned in Fortnite Season 8, hinting that the riding ability may see players mount up on the raptors, and possibly existing wildlife like boars too.

“Looks like the Ridable Wildlife Animal(s) that Epic were testing back in June is finally coming to the game this or next season,” Hypex tweeted this week.

As well as the hotkeys, Hypex says a new Legendary item called Saddler has also been spotted, lending more weight to the rumour.

Epic hasn’t announced this feature yet, and even though the options are in the menu, it may not roll out at all.

But Fortnite players should keep an eye out in case this epic gameplay addition is added this season after all.
