A NEW video showcases what the PlayStation 5 could look like when it hits shelves later this year.

Put together by a French team of graphic designers, the snazzy clip shows the upcoming console in white with a gorgeous curved front panel.

The console is also shown with red and a more traditional black finish.

The concept design shows the console with a removable panel on the top that covers a whirring cooling turbine below.

On the back, it’s loaded with two HDMI ports, a digital optical port and a bunch of USB ports, too.

Creators at the YouTube channel VR4Player posted the video earlier this week.

Apparently, the design is based on a bunch of recent rumours and leaks about the mysterious PS5, which is due out in time for Christmas 2020.

Sony announced the console last year, but hasn’t yet revealed what it will look like – or an exact release date.

The VR4 player team also took a stab at guessing some of the next-gen games that will launch with the PS5.

The video shows discs for a new Spiderman title, Resident Evil: Biohazard, God of War 2 and a sequel to The Order: 1886.

Of course, the video is based entirely on rumours and hearsay, so take the team’s designs with a pinch of salt for now.

We’ll only know for sure how the PS5 will look when Sony finally spills the beans. The firm is rumoured to be hosting a reveal event later this month.

Announced in 2019, the PS5 will be Sony’s first major new console in seven years.

The company has given gamers a vague “Holidays 2020” release date, but hasn’t even published photos of the console yet.

PS5 controller

Sony released the first pictures of the PS5 controller last month

Microsoft has confirmed it will release its own console, the Xbox Series X, around the same time.

Loading up a game on the PlayStation 5 will be ten times faster than on PS4, according to Sony.

We’re expecting new God of War and Horizon: Zero Dawn titles to launch with the console.

The PS5 controller features haptic feedback, which means you’ll feel different sensations through the controller as you play.

Sony says you’ll be able to experience “the slow grittiness of driving a car through mud”.

The L2 and R2 buttons now include adaptive triggers too, which change depending on the environment.

In other news, Sony recently unveiled images of the PS5 controller.

Microsoft will reportedly sell the Xbox Series X with access to more than 100 games for £25 a month.

And, these are the cheapest console bundles you can buy online right now.
