NINTENDO is giving away a free week of online play to all users – plus access to dozens of retro games.

Better still, you can bag the Nintendo Switch Online offer even if you’ve already claimed a 7-day trial previously.

Nintendo Switch Online is available for free for seven days

Normally, you’d need to pay a fee to access the Nintendo Switch Online service.

In the UK, it costs £3.49 per month, £6.99 for three months or £17.99 for a year.

And once the free trial is up, you’ll need to pay the subscription to get continued access.

But now it’s completely free to access for a limited time.

The service gets you access to dozens of classic games

So what does Nintendo Switch Online actually get you?

For a start, it’s Nintendo’s online service – so you can play online with pals.

But you also get access to an expansive suite of more than 70 classic Nintendo games.

These are games that originally launched on the retro NES and Super NES consoles.

SNES examples include Super Mario World, Super Mario Kart, The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past and Star Fox.

And classic NES games available to play include The Legend of Zelda and Donkey Kong.

Of course, you’ll need to own a Nintendo Switch or Nintendo Switch Lite console to access any of these games.

You’ll also lose access to the free games if your Switch Online subscription expires.

To claim your free trial, all you need to do is head to the Nintendo eShop.

You can find this on your Nintendo Switch, where the offer is being promoted.
