THE design of the PlayStation 5 may have been revealed in a stunning fan-made video.

Sony’s high-powered machine is imagined with a tasty two-tone design in the clip, which was put together by a Dutch graphic designer.

Stunning concept images of the mysterious PlayStation 5 have been published online

Working with tech site Let’sGoDigital, YouTuber Jermaine Smit based his PS5 concept on recent leaks and rumours surrounding the console.

Sony announced the PS5 last year but has yet to reveal what the machine actually looks like.

The console is out ahead of Christmas 2020 and promises groundbreaking graphics and breakneck loading times.

Jermaine said: “The PlayStation 5 is the next gen console from Sony, and with it they are introducing a lot of new ideas on [sic] consoles.

The hotly-anticipated console is imagined with a gorgeous two-tone design

“Even more so when it comes to their new technology … [which] will make games run better and smoother.”

According to the video, the console could come in a slick black and white design, split down the middle by a curved line lit up by blue LED lights.

The PlayStation 5 logo is embossed on the darker side, while the lighter side features tiny circles, crosses, squares and triangles.

Gamers among will know, of course, that these four shapes are the symbols found on every PlayStation controller since the PS1.

Also on show is the PS5 controller, which Sony unveiled back in April

Also featured in the video is the PS5 controller, which Sony unveiled to the public back in April.

The PS5 controller features haptic feedback, which means you’ll feel different sensations through the controller as you play.

Sony says you’ll be able to experience “the slow grittiness of driving a car through mud”.

The L2 and R2 buttons now include adaptive triggers too, which change depending on the environment.

We still don’t know what the PlayStation 5 looks like, but these renders may give us a clue

Obviously, the concept images are pure speculation, so take them with a pinch of salt for now.

We won’t know more on the PS5’s design until Sony unveils more ahead of its release.

Sony has said it will release the console during the “Holidays 2020” season – likely meaning sometime in November or December.

Loading up a game on the PlayStation 5 will be ten times faster than on PS4, according to Sony.

It will be up against some stiff competition: Microsoft has confirmed it will release its new console – the Xbox Series X – around the same time.

The Series X will apparently run games at 4K resolution – double that of HD – with the possibility of running 8K.

It will also process games faster so as to “eliminate” loading times. A new Halo title will launch with the console.

Both next-gen machines are expected to cost somewhere in the region of £500 at launch.

In other news, Sony is bribing players to stay at home with FREE PS4 games.

Gamers across the globe can now play Google Stadia for free.

And, the PS5 and Xbox Series X could cost a hefty £500 at launch.
