Look out for crashed satellites across Verdansk

Perhaps the biggest highlight was the ‘80s Action Heroes update, which saw players running-and-gunning as John McClane and Rambo.

Better still was the chance to explore an expertly recreated Nakatomi Plaza (of Die Hard fame) in Warzone’s Downtown district.

Now we’re looking forward to thrills and kills in Call of Duty Season 4.

The new season kicks off properly on Thursday, June 15.

A baseball bat is being added to Warzone – so prepare to swing hard

And with it comes changes to Verdansk, limited-time events, new guns, modes and Operators to boot.

The season goes live at 9pm Californian time on June 15 for Black Ops Cold War.

And Warzone will receive its update at 9pm Californian time on June 16.

For Brits, those updates will come at 5am on the following days – due to the eight-hour time difference.

Meanwhile New Yorkers can enjoy the new updates from midnight.

You’ll be looking at some sizeable updates this time around, depending on your platform.

Mysterious red doors are popping up across Verdansk in Season 4– but where do they lead?

Here’s what you’ll need for Cold War:

  • PlayStation 5 – 30GB
  • PlayStation 4 – 15.5GB
  • Xbox Series X/S – 31GB
  • Xbox One – 17.7GB
  • PC – 21.6GB (without HD pack)
  • PC – 30.7GB (with HD pack)

Alas, that’s not all.

PC users will also need an additional 60.6-92.1GB of additional space for the copying process – although that doesn’t increase the download, and will be reclaimed after the update.

Warzone will also require some hefty updates, albeit less sizeable.

Here’s what you’ll need to download:

  • PlayStation 5 – 11GB
  • PlayStation 4 – 11GB
  • Xbox Series X/S – 11.2GB
  • Xbox One – 11.2GB
  • PC – 12.3-13.5GB

PC users will also need an additional 27.1-38.3GB of space for the patch copying process.

You won’t need to download that, and you’ll get the space back after the update is completed.
