However, not all was as it seemed – as Davina, 54, revealed that the shark had been edited in by a savvy photo-editor friend.

The former Big Brother hostess has been holidaying since last week alongside her beau and celebrity hairdresser Michael Douglas.

She’s taken to social media to give a number of updates from her trip – showing off her body in a tiny white bikini.

Her latest snap had fans up in arms as it appeared she was swimming just inches away from a terrifying great white shark.

Donning her tiny bikini, flippers and a snorkel – the presenter was seen admiring the fish in the crystal clear waters.

Meanwhile, a shark had been edited in just below her to make it appear as though she was just about to be eaten.

“This terrifies me and reminds me why I won’t swim out far in the sea!” one scared fan wrote under the snap.

Another chimed in: “I would not go back in the water just at the thought! That is my biggest fear.”

“That’s absolutely terrifying,” a third said, as a fourth concluded: “The very reason why I never swim in the sea.”

Davina took to the caption of the post to clarify that the shark was just an “edit” and did not feature in the original snap.

It comes shortly after Davina was left devastated  at the death of her father, describing him as the “best dad” ever.

The star told fans Andrew, 77, had passed away with her by his side, as she shared a touching post about his life.

Davina’s mum and dad split when she was just three and she was raised by her grandparents because her mum was “incapable of mothering.”

Her mum passed away in 2008, but Davina built a strong relationship with her dad and step-mum Gabby who she went to live with when she was 13.
