Niecy Nash has been tapped to host the singing competition in his place.

Reps for Nick told Variety that he is “in quarantine and resting,” and Niecy will take over when production begins tomorrow.

The fifth season is set to air in March with Ken Jeong, Robin Thicke, Nicole Scherzinger, and Jenny McCarthy as the panellists.

Nick, 40, is scheduled to return to hosting duties once he has recovered.

The Masked Singer is a secret singing competition in which celebrities face off against one another in costumes concealing their identity.

The judges have to guess the celebrity behind the mask, while the audience choses who to vote off each week.

Nick was married to Mariah Carey from 2008 to 2014, and the pair have two children, twins Monroe and Morroccan.

Nick also has a son with Brittany Bell

He reportedly met Brittany Bell in 2015, and the two dated on-and-off for a while before she gave birth to their son while they were supposedly “on a break” back in 2017.

The pair reportedly split for good but they were spotted on November 9, 2020, holding hands leaving a restaurant in Malibu, California, after celebrating her 33rd birthday.
