The Love Islanders taking part in The X Factor: Celebrity have insisted they will keep their band going after the show.

The group Eyal Booker, Samira Mighty, Wes Nelson and Zara McDermott appeared on This Morning today when Eamonn Holmes mocked their band name, The Islanders.

Speaking about taking part in the ITV show, Eyal insisted: I think we intend to carry on. We started off in a good place but we know we have so much more to give.

But Eamonn wasnt so sure about the name, telling them: I think it sounds like a quiz name.

The quartet surprised viewers and the judges last week when they took to the stage in LA and sang a version of Shawn Mendes Theres Nothing Holdin Me Back.

Discussing the reaction they got, Wes said: I think a lot of people didnt expect it. When we came out on stage and got such a good response.

We are super serious and performing is a passion of all of ours and we are hoping we can prove people wrong and show that we arent one dimensional.

He added: Its been super good. Its a competitive environment but everyone has been supportive.

Those watching at home were left very amused by Eamonns reaction to their band name and took to Twitter to discuss it.

One person wrote: Eamonn trying to politely tell the Islanders that their name is s**t #ThisMorning.

A second tweeted: Eamonn is so savage haha #thismorning.

While a third added: Eamonn slagging off their group name hahahah #ThisMorning.
