Making up the girl band is Kellimarie Willis, 17, Jess Folley, 16, Luena Martinez, 20, Seorsia Leagh Jack, 18, Virgina Hampson, 17 and Halle Williams, 19.

Kellimarie’s journey from hopeful to band member was particularly emotional as she told the judges of her insecurities.

After wowing with an original song, the teen left Nicole in tears.

The judge said: “Its hard to share your true feelings and know what people are going to think but its through our imperfections and through our flaws that really connect us all and make us realise were all alike and all the same.”

Jess Folley was the first act to get a chair

Jess was the first girl to audition in front of the arena audience and her decision to choose power anthem Survivor by Destiny’s Child paid off.

Nicole raved: ” Jess, girl you were the first one out on the ring tonight and you already knocked them all down ,you got talent, tenacity, range you got it all, to me you are a no-brainer.”

While Simon said: “It was b****y brilliant, the song is a killer song, absolutely killer song, it was current, cool, relevant, important, everything we’re looking for so let me be the first to say yes!”

Seorsia struggled with her vocals as she battled illness to perform an N SYNC classic.

The judges were sympathetic to her situation and Simon told her the illness enabled them to hear something different.

He said: “The good thing about being ill is that we heard a different tone to your voice, but I have no doubt where I’m going with this.’”

The judges were joined by advisor Ella Eyre while star producers such as Naughty Boy also watched the acts.

Simon said he wants to find a new pop phenomenon to compete with Korean K-Pop acts such as the top-selling boy band BTS.

He said: K-Pop is ruling the world. This is a show to find a band to launch UK-Pop. Its more than winning a record contract, its starting a new music wave.

Every group will be put together by us just likeOne Direction,Little MixandFifth Harmony.”
