MEGAN McKenna isn’t slacking after being crowned X Factor: Celebrity champion this weekend.
The delighted singer, 27, was declared winner of Simon Cowell’s TV show on Saturday, and appeared on Monday’s Good Morning Britain to talk about her victory.
Viewers previously saw the reality TV star break down in tears after she beat off competition from Jenny Ryan and Max & Harvey, along with 12 others, to win a record contract on the ITV series.
She was much more cheery on Monday’s ITV breakfast show, where she revealed she would be meeting the music mogul this week.
Megan told hosts Piers Morgan and Susanna Reid she was “never going to give up” on her music career, after applying for both BGT and the X Factor, with three applications for the latter.
She talked of her potential Christmas tracks, and said: “I have so many new tracks up my sleeve.
“I did It Must Have Been Love, the festive version, and I loved that.”
She then told how she will be having discussions with X Factor boss Simon and the team this week.
Piers then joked how he knew Megan was “always going to be a winner” after first spotting her talent on BGT, another of Simon’s TV shows.
The clip showed him telling Megan how she made him “smile” before he put her through to the next stage of the competition.
Fifteen acts from the worlds of music, film, sport, television and social media competed for a place in the final and a recording contract.
In the final, Max and Harvey sang Last Christmas by Wham! while Jenny Ryan performed Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas, memorably sung by Judy Garland.
Megan McKenna took on One More Sleep by X Factor winner Leona Lewis.
Girl group V5 were eliminated from the X Factor: Celebrity final in the first public vote of the night.
The remaining three then performed their favourite track of the series so far, so Megan performed her original song This once again.
