Soap actress Lacey, 33, who is already mum to Dusty, two, with husband Matt Kay, welcomed darling boy Trilby Fox last year.

Now, the star has taken to social media to gush over her sweet baby, with a collection of snaps from throughout his first year of life.

Gushing that Trilby gave the family the “best year of their lives”, Lacey’s snap collection played over Millie Small hit My Boy Lollipop.

Photographs saw Trilby from soon after birth to his first meeting with big sister Dusty, to enjoying time on holiday and splashing around in the bath.

The final snap saw the tot standing up next to his huge collection of birthday cards, balloons and a wooden kitchen set he was gifted on the big day.

“Happy 1st birthday baby,” Lacey captioned the video. “How time has flown we can’t believe you’re one. Thank you for one of the best years of our lives.

“A beautiful boy inside and out, the best brother & son, your kind, calming and cheeky nature has brought us so much joy over the last year.

“May your birthday be as special as you are, my darling ! We love you to the moon and back a million times! Forever & ever baby.”

Last month, Lacey shared an adorable snap of her two rarely seen children together as the family took a break on holiday.

Lacey has played Stacey Slater on the soap for 17 years and returned to work just six months after giving birth to her son Trilby last year.

Her character was sent to jail for a crime she didn’t commit after being set up by Ruby, but is now back on the Square.

Speaking about getting back to work, Stacey previously told OK!: “Yes, but I’m really lucky because although with a big storyline you can be working like any full-time job, there are a lot of times when I’m not needed, so it works out perfectly.

“I also live not too far away from the studios so that always makes things easier and I can pop home between filming.

“I’m always home for bath and bedtime, too.”

She added: “I like that Trilby and Matt will get to be together while I’m in work as I can just concentrate on that and not have to worry about a thing. It’s a privileged position to be in. I’m very lucky.”
