CALL of Duty players can now enjoy a “mega deathmatch” in Warzone thanks to a update.
The chaotic mode pits 50 players against another 50, putting a spin on the popular Warzone Battle Royale.
Warzone usually involves 100 players battling it out to be the last players standing.
This involves taking part in teams of two, three or four to claim victory.
But there’s a new mode called Warzone Rumble that throws this format out of the window.
The returning game mode converts Warzone into an enormous deathmatch.
That means players roam across Verdansk in teams of 50, battling it out for glory.
An update has also added a Warzone mode called Plunder Trios.
It’s an alternative to Solos, Duos and Quads for players who want to battle with two other pals.
These minor changes are in anticipation of a major Warzone update expected later this year.
Call of Duty Modern Warfare is currently on season 4, but a huge season 5 update is on the way.
Some fans suspect that this will see Warzone’s map changing ahead of the new Call of Duty 2020 game release.
It’s looking increasingly unlikely that Activision won’t be chucking it out for a new Battle Royale experience in Call of Duty 2020.
Instead, it seems like Warzone will continue along in the background, potentially with updates to link it to the new game.
